HOW LYCHEE LINKED TO ENCEPHALITIS


Lychee,Angiospermic plants grown in Bihar,Tripura ,West Bengal, Utter pradesh ,Punjab,Haryana.
Most production of lychee in muzaffarpur district of Bihar,about 70 to 76 % contribution of  total production.

State of India ,Bihar ,slightly poor state there folk (specially children) expedite for lychee eat seasonally. Lychee fruits(unripe) produce toxin ,Hypogylcin A & methylenecyclopropyl glycine.

These toxin interfere with metabolism of biomolecules such as fatty acid oxidation, amino acid catabolism and gluconeogenesis.

Brain cell should be need glucose continuously for proper functioning .Toxin , prevent the gluconeogenesis therefore glucose level in the body will be fall & so in encephalitis, specially central nervous system ( brain & spinal cord) unable to proper functioning. 

Nowadays encephalitis is great in bihar by which approximate 100 children are die out.
